On June 9th, 2012 the Massachusetts Federation of Young Republicans (MFYR) held their annual convention and election in historic Boston, Massachusetts.
The newly elected MFYR Executive Committee is now chaired by former Massachusetts Young Republican National Committeewoman, Katie Regan from West Roxbury, Massachusetts.
The new executive board also includes:
Vice Chair: Ross Logan Hemminger from Ohio
Treasurer: Keith Messina from Methuen, MA
Secretary: Kate Campanale from Leicester, MA
Massachusetts National Committeeman: Rob Eno Shrewsbury, MA
Massachusetts National Committeewomen: Andrea Lance from Manchester, MA
After the election, the new Chairman Katie Regan explained that the executive board would focus on increasing membership and energizing that membership to help elect Republican candidates to office at the local, state, and national level.
Regan said “It’s an exciting year to be a Young Republican in Massachusetts. The national spotlight is on Massachusetts this year with our former-Governor of Massachusetts Mitt Romney and U.S. Senator Scott Brown topping the Republican ticket.”
In addition to the election MFYR held its first ever Republican Vice Presidential Straw Poll and announced that Marco Rubio was the straw poll winner.
The executive board intends to make additional announcements with respect to a broader leadership team in the weeks to come.
