Young Republicans from around the state will come together for the 2013 Massachusetts Federation of Young Republicans Convention on May 11, 2013 in Watertown, Massachusetts.

Young Republicans are key to: Growing the Party! Renewing our Base! Winning Elections! The MFYR State Convention convenes once a year to focus on the critical role Young Republicans play in the future of the GOP. It is also a great time to network, exchange ideas, and build lasting friendships.

1:00PM Interactive Workshop: Grassroots Campaigning.  Grassroots Workshop will focus on door-knocking and phonebanking – the most effective ways of identifying voters who are committed to voting for our GOP candidates. Doorknocking is the key to Victory! Those who try it for the first time are usually surprised by the pleasant reception they receive. If you feel that door-knocking and phone-banking are not your forte, other grassroots activities will be discussed. Trainer: Ryan Chamberland, Leah Cole campaign manager & Blackstone Valley Selectman.

If you’re between the ages of 18-40 and live or work in the Greater Boston area, then you should definitely make your way to the UPSTAIRS BAR at Abby Lane to enjoy some good ‘ol handcrafted food and cocktails! The fun starts at 5:30PM!

We’ll be hearing from three of our MassYR members, one from each candidate’s campaign, about why they support Gabriel Gomez, Mike Sullivan, or Dan Winslow to be the Republican nominee for U.S. Senate! This will be a really fun way to hear about all 3 Republican candidates.

The Massachusetts Young Republican Federation Executive Committee will hold its 2013 Winter Meeting on Saturday, March 23 from 1:30-4:30PM at the Brookline Public Library (Main Library: Conference Room).

Meeting is open to interested young adults and young professionals from across the state.

Official dues-paying members are encouraged to attend.  (2013 Membership Dues can be paid online by visiting http://www.mfyrmembership.eventbrite.com).

Following the meeting we will head to The Village Smokehouse a few blocks down in Brookline Village for drinks and appetizers.

The meeting will include discussions about the ideas/recommendations suggested in the newly released RNC report: Growth & Opportunity Project, the upcoming elections in MA (U.S. Senate Special, Leah Cole for State Rep., and local city & town), open MFYR executive committee positions, and re-establishing standing committees (let us know if you’d like to lead or join one of our new committees). Additionally we will be discussing the YRNF National Convention taking place in Mobile, AL this July. More details to come soon.
